We believe that understanding that computers are programmed by code is basic knowledge. We also believe in educating students about how to handle information, content, relations, agreements, time, focus and other new aspects of knowledge.
Karin Nygårds is a primary school teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a second language. After many years of using computers and social media, Karin realized how important it is to understand that everything is a construction of code. She works at Sjöstadsskolan in Stockholm, where she teaches her own program ”digital knowledge” (including programming and other digital skills) in 5th grade. She is also the over all executive for developing computing at school.
Terese Raymond is a trainer, method developer and lecturer. In 2012, she was the project manager for a study on gamification in schools. Terese has developed methods for dance programming and visibility of non-formal learning.
